An education revolution
The Unity University was granted Operational License No. 1 in January 2020 and is now in its fifth year. Located in Hargeisa, Somaliland, and supported by the PLO Lumumba Foundation, we exist to bridge the massive gap in higher-education access across Sub-Saharan Africa.
We pair free education with tailored, market-driven skill training — because access without employability is only half the promise.
The Unity University is rewriting the narrative of higher education in Africa by removing financial, geographic, and political barriers for high school graduates. As part of executive leadership, we coordinate academic standards, strategic partnerships, and institutional growth to ensure our students receive a transformative education.
— Deputy Vice-Chancellor, The Unity University
